Terms of Service
This document is a practical soft-launch draft for Gunners. It is not legal advice. Features, availability, and these Terms may change as the Service matures; the effective date above will change when we publish a revision.
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Gunners (package ID com.slt.gunners ) and related online features (the “Service”). By downloading, installing, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Privacy Policy is available at privacy.html .
2. Definitions
- “Service” means the Gunners mobile application, websites, matchmaking, custom rooms, bot training, leaderboards, and related soft-launch features we operate.
- “Account” means the credentials and identity linked through Firebase Authentication (and any linked game profile).
- “User Content” means nicknames, chat or text you submit (if enabled), reports, and other materials you upload or transmit through the Service.
- “Match” means an online gameplay session, including 3v3 quick match and custom-room sessions synchronized via Colyseus.
- “Operator” means DJ.H (Do Jin-hyeon) , who provides the Service during soft launch.
3. Service description
Gunners is a 2D jetpack shooter. Soft-launch features may include:
- Online 3v3 quick match team battles.
- Private custom rooms with share codes.
- Bot training / practice modes.
- Leaderboards, XP / level progress, and player profiles.
- Four selectable fighters and multiple arenas (as available in the current build).
Soft launch means modes, balance, maps, networking, and progression systems may change, be reset, limited, or temporarily unavailable without prior notice. We do not guarantee continuous uptime or that any particular feature will remain unchanged.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 14 years old (or the minimum age required in your country to consent to online services, if higher) to create an Account and use online features. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with a parent or legal guardian’s consent and supervision as required by local law.
You represent that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms, and that your use complies with the laws of the jurisdiction from which you access the Service.
5. Accounts
- Online play requires signing in through supported Firebase Auth providers.
- You are responsible for activity under your Account and for keeping provider credentials secure.
- Do not share Accounts, sell Accounts, or impersonate another player.
- Nicknames and profile displays must not include illegal, harassing, or infringing content.
- We may refuse, reclaim, or require changes to display names that violate these Terms or disrupt the community.
- If you believe your Account was compromised, contact support immediately.
6. License to use
Subject to these Terms, the Operator grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Gunners client on devices you own or control, solely for entertainment and in accordance with these Terms.
You may not: reverse engineer or decompile the client except where mandatory law allows; copy, rent, lease, or redistribute the Service; bypass technical protections; or use the Service to build a competing product by extracting non-public data or protocols.
7. Online play & fair play
Fair play is essential to Gunners. The following are prohibited in Matches and related online systems:
- Cheats, hacks, trainers, memory editors, or unauthorized modified clients.
- Macros, automation bots, or scripts that play on your behalf beyond ordinary accessibility tools permitted by the Operator.
- Packet tampering, lag switching, spoofing, or exploiting network/protocol weaknesses.
- Griefing intended to ruin Matches (e.g. deliberate team sabotage, matchmaking abuse, or disrupting custom rooms).
- Exploiting known bugs for unfair advantage after being asked to stop, or distributing exploit instructions.
Sanctions may include warnings, matchmaking restrictions, temporary suspension, permanent bans, deletion of unfair progression, and reporting to platform providers where appropriate. Soft-launch anti-cheat may be imperfect; we may act on reasonable evidence including reports, logs, and telemetry.
8. User conduct
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, hatefully attack, or discriminate against other players.
- Post or transmit illegal, pornographic, or extremely graphic content through any Service channel.
- Abuse report / block systems (false mass reports, evasion of blocks).
- Attempt unauthorized access to servers, databases, other Accounts, or Operator systems.
- Overload or disrupt infrastructure (DDoS, spam connections, share-code flooding).
- Use the Service for commercial advertising or data harvesting without prior written permission.
- Violate applicable law or third-party rights.
9. User content license
You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant the Operator a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process User Content solely to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the Service (including showing nicknames in Matches, leaderboards, and lobbies).
You represent that you have the rights needed to grant this license and that your User Content does not infringe others’ rights. We may remove User Content that violates these Terms.
10. Intellectual property
The Service—including game code, art, audio, UI, logos, names, maps, characters, and documentation—is owned by the Operator or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license in Section 6, no rights are granted to you.
“Gunners” and related branding may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without prior written permission.
11. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party platforms and providers, including Firebase (authentication, diagnostics, messaging, App Check), Supabase (profiles and related data APIs), Colyseus hosting on a VPS, and app stores / OS vendors. Their terms and privacy policies also apply to their processing.
We are not responsible for outages, policy changes, or account actions taken by third-party providers outside our reasonable control. Store billing disputes (if any arise in the future) are handled under the applicable store’s rules.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that soft-launch data (XP, ranks, match history) will be preserved across updates.
Nothing in this section limits non-excludable consumer guarantees under mandatory law.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR GAME PROGRESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
Mandatory consumer protection law prevails over any conflicting limitation. Where liability cannot be excluded, the Operator’s aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid to the Operator for the Service in the three (3) months before the claim, or (b) zero (0) if you paid no fees—consistent with the soft-launch Service currently not charging Operator fees for play.
14. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Operator from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your unlawful use of the Service—except to the extent caused by the Operator’s willful misconduct or gross negligence where such carve-out is required.
15. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service (in whole or part) immediately if you violate these Terms, create risk to other players or infrastructure, or if required by law or a platform provider.
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request Account-related deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. Soft-launch maintenance, migrations, or wind-down may also end or reset features.
Sections that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, governing law, and severability) survive termination.
16. Changes to service or terms
We may modify the Service and these Terms. Material changes to the Terms will be indicated by updating the effective date on this page and, where appropriate, by in-app or store notices. If you continue using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law principles that would require another jurisdiction’s law.
Before filing a formal claim, please contact us so we can attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith through negotiation.
If negotiation does not resolve the dispute, courts with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act of Korea shall have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer venue or protection rules that cannot be waived.

19. Severability & entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any in-app notices expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Operator regarding the Service and supersede prior understandings on the same subject.
Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision.
